Skateboard royalty Tony Hawk and wildcard Jason Ellis stop by to make two stoner staples: classic Pizza Rolls and a loaded Veggie Pizza. They talk tattoos, UFC antics, and what it really means to land a 900.
Pizza Rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 roll refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup mini pepperoni
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Cooking spray or oil for baking sheet
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough and cut into 3-inch squares.
- Place a small spoonful of sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and onion in the center of each square. Sprinkle with oregano.
- Fold corners to center and pinch to seal. Flip seam-side down onto baking sheet.
- Beat egg with water and brush over tops. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
Veggie Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pizza crust or dough
- ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
- ¼ cup chopped red onion
- ¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
- ¼ cup sliced black olives
- ¼ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Roll out crust and place on a pizza pan or stone.
- Spread sauce over crust and layer with cheese and chopped vegetables.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is crisp.
- Garnish with fresh basil and slice to serve.
