Fish & Chips with Homemade Tartar Sauce

Beer-Batter Fish

Ingredients:

  • White fish, like cod or tilapia
  • Salt & black pepper
  • All-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Seasoned salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Beer
  • Canola oil

Steps:

  1. Cut fish into strips; pat dry.
  2. Season with salt and pepper; set aside.
  3. Whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, and seasoned salt.
  4. Stir in beaten egg.
  5. Gradually whisk in beer until mixture is smooth.
  6. Dip fish in batter, then fry in hot oil for 3–4 minutes.
  7. Place on drying rack to keep crispy.

Homemade Tartar Sauce

Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Dill pickle relish
  • Fresh dill
  • Lemon juice
  • Dijon mustard
  • Sugar
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Black pepper

Steps:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
