Fish & Chips with Homemade Tartar Sauce

Beer-Batter Fish
Ingredients:
- White fish, like cod or tilapia
- Salt & black pepper
- All-purpose flour
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Seasoned salt
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Beer
- Canola oil
Steps:
- Cut fish into strips; pat dry.
- Season with salt and pepper; set aside.
- Whisk together flour, garlic powder, paprika, and seasoned salt.
- Stir in beaten egg.
- Gradually whisk in beer until mixture is smooth.
- Dip fish in batter, then fry in hot oil for 3–4 minutes.
- Place on drying rack to keep crispy.
Homemade Tartar Sauce
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise
- Dill pickle relish
- Fresh dill
- Lemon juice
- Dijon mustard
- Sugar
- Cayenne pepper
- Black pepper
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
